Federico Catalioto
Advisor
Federico Catalioto is an advisor to Accirculate, an Italian hospitality professional, lecturer, and sustainability specialist with international experience across luxury hospitality, tourism education, and sustainable development. Born in Sicily, he built a global career working in Europe and Asia, including Indonesia and the Maldives, where he held operational and sustainability leadership roles in luxury resorts and hospitality training institutions.
He is currently a Lecturer in Dutch higher education at NHL Stenden, where he teaches operational management, tourism systems, and applied research, while contributing to curriculum development and student supervision. His academic work focuses on bridging industry practice with education, with a strong emphasis on sustainable tourism, circular economy approaches, and the evolving social role of hospitality.
Before moving into academia, Federico worked in several international hospitality organizations including Marriott International and sustainability-driven hospitality brands, managing projects related to corporate social responsibility, environmental certification, and stakeholder engagement. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Glion Institute of Higher Education and an MBA in Sustainable Hospitality Management from the Sustainability Management School (SUMAS) in Switzerland.
